To be eligible to work in the UK as a social worker you will need to have attained the minimum level of the Cambridge First Certificate or equivalent. If you have a good level of English, but have not taken any examinations then provided you are willing to take an English Test with us we can still proceed with your application. If your level of English is below the standard required you will need to study an intensive course in English to improve your level. All qualified Social Workers must register with The General Social Care Council (GSCC) or Care Council for Wales (CCW). If you are looking to start work in the UK as a support worker it may not be necessary to register at present. Please contact Eres Mejor Recruitment to discuss fully.

I am a qualified social worker or I have experience in the social care field and I want to work in the UK. What do I need to do?
Step 1:
If you are interested in working in the UK then find as much out about living and working in the UK. We can help you too!
Step 2:
Read carefully the information on our website about what documents and qualifications you will require to work in the UK and look at the selection of jobs that are currently on offer.
Step 3:
Contact us so that we can arrange a telephone interview or if you are near to our office then come and see us. We need to assess your level of English.
Step 4:
Register with us and send us your CV. (Please note that your CV must be in English and should not contain any tables or frames.)
We can offer some assistance with your GSCC application should you require it (an administration fee applies see terms and conditions).
Step 5:
Once you have completed your application for inclusion on the social care register with the GSCC (for those who wish to apply for a qualified position) we will pass your details to our partners in the UK who will then work with you to find you the right job.
