Description This dynamic charity that provides supported living services to adults with Autism. The client focus and individual approach is reflected in the fact that services are often for one or two people. This organisation provides excellent service and there is a culture of continuous improvement. You are invited to join the teams and to contribute to that improvement!

You should have passion for your work, be professional and have an interest in developing a career in the organisation. You are not required to have experience in working with Autism, but you should be enthusiastic about learning about it.

We are looking for 8 support workers in total, 4 in Carterton and 4 in Abingdon.

The homes provide sevices tailored to the individual needs of the Autistic clients. In both services the needs of the people are quite complex, some people have some limited verbal communication. Makaton is used and training is provided by the employer. Any knowledge of Makaton would be an advantage.

You will need to be a confident person, able to listen well and learn about the individuals with whom you will work from your colleagues. A good level of English, a driving licence and a willingness to drive in the UK are required. First Aid training would be an advantage, but is not essential. We ask for a minimum commitment of 2 years. The job requires evening and weekend shift work.

Description This is a charity that provides care and education to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The children are typically aged 12 – 16.

The organization aims to provide the children and young people with warmth, a family-like atmosphere and supports them to grow in self-confidence. Excellent working relationships with Children and Adolescent Mental Health services means great support is provided to children and young people alike. Most of the children have been through many foster placements that failed and have a troubled past.

Support Workers/ Student Support Workers Wanted!!

We are currently looking for a large number of Support Workers/ Student Support Assistants to work with young people aged 8 and 19 years old. These young people have severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. We need you to provide specialist education, therapy and personal care for them, specifically regarding their speech, language and communication and/or Aspergers Syndrome. The purpose and objective of work is to ensure pupils are cared for throughout the day.
